admitted first year students
Welcome to the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture (UCLA Arts)!
At UCLA Arts, you’ll join a dynamic community that shapes the cultural and artistic life of both the campus and the world beyond. Our programs are designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and vision to address today’s challenges and imagine new possibilities for the future. We are dedicated to preparing the next generation of artists, architects, dancers, designers, scholars, and creators who will transform society through the arts.
As a student here, you’ll learn in close-knit, hands-on environments where creativity thrives both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll collaborate with fellow students, graduate TAs, and staff, all of whom contribute to vibrant dialogues where ideas flourish and perspectives expand. Our distinguished faculty will challenge you to push boundaries, refine your creative practice, and envision new possibilities using both time-honored techniques and cutting-edge technologies.
In-Person Events
We have two in-person events for our admitted students:

SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025 - BRUIN DAY: A campus-wide event for all admitted First Year Students, which includes a student resource fair, sample academic lectures, financial aid consulting, specialized tours of the campus and residential facilities, department open houses, and individual meetings with students to talk about life on campus.
You can RSVP for both or either event through the Bruin Day website.
